IDGIE'S STUDIO BUTTONS!

The very first thing that I would like to say about my creations is;
Each and Every One of These Buttons Are Truly,
Little Pieces of My Heart...
During the creation process, I have become quite attached
to Idgie's Girls - Not, mind you, because I think they are
"All That", but rather, they have each developed personalities
before my eyes as they took shape, and each captured my heart
before she was completed. And that, Dear Button Friends,
is how their stories came about...
Each Button comes with a Brief Bio -
a Small Glimpse into the lives of my characters.
You will find these by clicking on their faces...
Just Right Click on the Bio Card and Save it.
You can then print it out in whatever size you prefer.
Here, I will add that several of these Girls/Women
are based on people I have known and loved.
Some are inspired by people who have passed through my life,
or touched it in some way at one time or another, if only for an instant.
Still others, are pure figments of my most vivid imagination ! Smiles...
Which Buttons are based on Real Life Characters and which are Fiction ?
Ah...Therein Lies the Mystery...

My Medium, at least for now, is Polymer Clay,
which I have Embellished with a Variety of Materials and Techniques.
There will NEVER be two of the same button! Every one of my creations
will be a Unique, One-of-a-Kind offering.

My pricing is based on several factors and is subject to change...

Each Button is Signed: Idgie (Hey, That's Me, Laurie Ann Wells),
Numbered and Dated with a Gold or Black Pen.
Buttons are then sealed (fronts only) with a High Gloss or
Matte Acrylic Finish that gives them the Appearance of Fired Porcelain.
All Buttons have either an Imbedded or an Applied Plate & Loop Shank.

Many of these Buttons have Protruding Parts (Big Hair)
and Embellishments, so Proper Storage & Handling is an Absolute Must!
They are well put together, but probably will not survive if something
weighty is put down on top of them, etc.

These, My Lovies, are the first of many lines that I plan to offer
in the very near future. Hopefully, New Buttons will be added to this site
on a fairly regular basis. (I plan to add at least 7 per week...)

PLEASE NOTE: These Buttons Are Much Prettier in Real Life!
Due to the High Gloss Finish, the Scanner Has Added Some Unattractive
Glare & Shadows. Also, Some of the Proportions are Thrown Off
Due to the Sizing of the Link Buttons...They Look Much Better
on their Link Pages, but I have still had a terrible time
all day long trying to get decent pictures.
P.S. (OMIGOODNESS...Even though I am sitting here looking
at the Buttons and happen to LOVE the High Gloss on most of them,
I am switching to a Royal Coat or Flat Finish for my next batch
to avoid having these problems...But you will still want to be
one of the first in your neighborhood to have one of my First Originals,
Dontcha Think??? Smiles...)

Shipping Will Be $2.00 for 1-2 Buttons, as
They Will Require a Large Padded Envelope.
